"Angels are messengers for God that he created. They neither marry or given in marriage. They are higher than man. We were created a little lower so they much be somewhat like humans only better as they can fly. They were all God fearing at first until Lucifer the Morning Star became proud and wanted to be worshiped like God was. God worked with him until he had to be thrown out of heaven because of the bad influence he was having on the other angels. He went to all the worlds looking for a place to reside when he came to our world and was able to deceive Eve. This world became under his domain until Christ came and redeemed it back from him." this was what was said by a person on one of my other discussions, it was suggested to me to make a discussion about this. This is what I added: "An angel does not have free will, it is all God's will. However, a mortal such as ourselves have free will, but God's will will still happen." So tell me how do you define an angel?

angels are not higher than men. Remember Jesus was born a man. Not an angel.

Very nice point, Jesus was a mortal, and had free will, but yet he still did God's will. While , an angel has no choice, they are immortal from what I have at least read, but they still are only servants of God directly with no free will good comment.

I never thought of that either...maybe they were created to DO his will, but they have an option to disobey( just because they are perfect, they fear him?)

I don't know if I would say they didn't have free will. Lucifer. Once the right hand of God, now the left hand.

A spirit person who lives in the spirit world. In times past they have taken human form and visited humans. They like us also have free will, that's how some of them became demons. The angels under Jesus Christ are now helping in the gathering of those that want to serve God.

I believe they all go back to that event. They say that all legends have some basis in truth.

So the offspring were even angels? Wow, I never thought about what the offspring would be thanks. You would so have the best response, if it wasn't for already being taken.

I wonder if this has any relation to how the Greeks/Romans or whoever it was thought of the idea for all of these different half Gods?

An Angel is a spiritual supernatural being found in many religion.Although the nature of angels and the task given to them vary from tradition to tradition in Christianity, Judaism and Islam, they often act as messengers from god.Other roles in religious traditions includes acting as warriors or guard, the concept of guardian angel is popular in modern western culture.Angels are usually viewed as emanations of a supreme divine being, send to do the tasks of that being. Traditions vary as to whether angels have a free will or are merely free extensions of the supreme being's will. While the appearance of angels also varies, many views of angels give them a human shape.

An angel for me is someone who has not been contaminated by all the bad and evil things and thoughts that are so common in the world. They are immune and these things ride over them.

I try always to be positive. I was gifted with twin grandchildren last autumn but I was not allowed to enjoy them. Their home became a grave which I visit when I want to be with them. They were lucky to become absolute angels as they were not given the chance to see what goes on this side

Very true, it is better to think about what they can now enjoy and have a luxury in then on what or why it happened.

Angels are messengers of God. However actually in God's oopinion we are higher than angels. We are created in God's image and with free will, ANgels were not. Lucifer was an angel. He was a leader of the army. He was kicked out of heaven when he tried to overthrow God. God sent him straight to Hades, he just has the ability to travel o Earth. He still comes and decievbes people today. Angels are beautiful, perfect and apparently frigtening creratures. The messenmgers evben alays had to tell people to not be afraid of them. Angels are messengers, there are also warrior angels and angels that simply worship God at all times with praises and carols.

Very nicely written...I fully agree. I am not sure whether or not it is a good thign though that we are considered above them. As far as I have read so far they are perfect, because they was made from God and don't have free will. Free will is what caused sin did it not?
