Do you have your computer log you in with just a touch of a button?

I made a really big mistake. I made my computer remember my Facebook login details, so I could just press the Login button when I got to the site instead of typing them every time. Well, a 'friend' of mine logged me in yesterday while he told me he was checking HIS Facebook, and changed my status message to something very crude and embarrassing. Since I'm seperating from my boyfriend, and his family and friends are uber defensive over him, my boyfriend found out almost immediately and it caused a lot of drama for me yesterday. How about you though? If you use your own personal computer, do you leave the login details remembered so that you can automatically log in with the touch of a button?

I have Firefox and I have Firefox remember my password. I do not have anyone else use my computer so I do not have that problem. If you have someone else using your computer or ask that he can use it, I would not have Internet Explorer remember your pasword or Firefox remember it. If it were just you and no one else used it, I would say make the computer remember it, and if you really trust that person.

I do that, however I don't have any one that uses my computer but me so its not that big of a deal. I would not let my friends use my pc any way. To much personal info is on it for me to let any one use it. Kind of like a wallet for me.

Yes, I do here on mylot. My hubby doesn't even know how to use a computer and we are the only two that live here all the time. And I NEVER let anyone use my computer. Only my daughter occasionally when she is home from University for the weekend and she doesn't know about mylot. She uses facebook, I don't. Plus she doesn't hide anything from me anyway. We have a very good relationship. Who the hell was this so-called 'friend'? I'd kill him. Is this a new roommate?
