Should Pre-K kids know what Valentine's Day is about?

My daughter teacher of course have the kids in her class learn all the holidays on the calendar and I really don't know what she tells the kids about Valentine's Day but my baby girl wants to get all the boys a teddy bear in her class.......What should I do about this? Is it all innocent or does my baby know this is a day for lovers?

Well I think it's pretty ok that they learn the concept of Valentines. Anyway I guess the teacher is not invoking a romantic relationship but the love that each one of us must have towards one another. Maybe that is why she wants to give teddy bears to each and everyone of her boy classmates it is because of love that friendship has brought upon.
