I used to try to run away from home a lot when I was a child. The earliest was when I was 3. I told my mom "I gone run away". And she tells me, she said "Okay". She packed my bag with a dress, some tights, a snack and my Poundpuppy, and set me out on the porch! She said I sat there for a while, then walked down the drive to the side walk, looked back at the house and came back up to the door. I didn't try after that! But if I were to run away now, being married with 3 kids and I am a SAHM (stay at home mom) I wouldn't really have anywhere to go but to my parent's home (and that is a NO GO!) I wouldn't have money or anything to support my children with, so I'd either have to leave the state entirely and try to do little jobs along the way to keep enough money to buy food and gas, or just drive until I ran out of gas and look for a job wherever we ended up.....

I was abused physically and emotionally by my dad as a child. I ran away at 13 and joined a circus/carnival. I have been on my own ever since as well. I traveled with the circus and carnivals all over the States for over 15 years living with them actually. Was a lot of fun but a very rough life style. I got schooled while on the road for the most part as well. I did get my GED in 1975, 3 years after I would have been a HS graduate. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

No, I have never done that. I was too afraid to ran away from home because I am attached to my mother and I think I don't know how I will be able to survive if I ran away in my teenage years. I have a classmate though, we were close when we were in highschool. Even if we don't belong to the same class, we still talk to each other. The story was that she ran away with her boyfriend who is also studying. It was vacation when they did that, she dropped out of school. One morning, someone was knocking on our door, when I opened up, she was with the guy. Well, they asked help so I give them money or my savings. They have been living with the guys' parents but I think they had problems that was why they were trying to ask for help. After an hour or two, they left... I told her to go back to her family because it is never a good idea to ran away especially when you have nothing left... Luckily, she did after realizing that their life would not get anywhere. Thanks for the discussion. Happy Mylotting and Have a great day! Cheers!

I ran away from home when I was 18 and got myself to alot of trouble financialy, after a year or so I got myself thinking "is this really what I wanted?". then I ask my father for a job the pay was really low considering the amount I was hoping to cough up after after around six months of work I quit. Found a business paid my obligations then settled down

No dear, no such moment has arisen so far that I needed to run away from home. may be sometime some people really feel like running away from home as Robinson Crusoe did.
