Hello mylotters! My son had a doctors appt for his 9 month check up. He was weighted and he has lost a few ounces which is alot for a baby. I had told the doctor on the phone that he feels so much lighter now and she said he is good he is just getting taller and he is teething. Well last week he finally cut a tooth, or should i say 2 teeth on the top and he just started crawling last week (with his knees, he has been "army" crawling for awhile now) so due to this he hasn't been eatting as much cereal or baby food but yet he is crawling so he is burning everything off. So he got weigh and he is 20lbs and 9.5oz, they didn't tell me how tall he is but he is tall. Well the doctor told me don't worry but do start giving him stage 3 foods but the ones that have more fat content in it and start introducing regular food to him. Of course start forcing the sippy cup on him more now since in 3 months she wants him off of the bottle. My baby is growing up too fast...when I heard no bottle I realize how fast he is growing up. But anyways back to what I had a question about. What kinds of food can I give him...he only has 2 teeth that aren't out all the way? Thank you and happy mylotting!!

Babies are sometimes picky when it comes to food. it is more difficult for them to eat when they are teething. You don't have to worry much if he doesn't eat much for as long as he drinks milk. that's what my pediatrician told me.

ok thanks! I was told by mine that I need to start giving him more fatty foods...I was surprise to hear this! He is very picky right now...so I'm just going to keep offering food to him and trying to get him to eat....I will just give him less veggies and more baby food with meat and carbs in it. I was just curious on what table food I can give a 9 month baby with only 2 teeth which aren't through all the way? I bought some fruit and some potatoes that I can mash for him and also some mac and cheese to try which I don't know if it will upset his tummy since he is has a milk allergy, he is on soy formula. Thank you for responding!! happy mylotting!!

I think you have nothing to worry about. If your son is 9 months old and 20 pounds, it doesn't sound like he needs to gain weight. My son is almost 16 months old and weighs 21 pounds.
