maybe try the grudge,shutter, or the eye.. those are Asian horror movies..

Fear Dot Com is very similar to (and IMO better than) The Ring. It follows the same premise, people visit this website, fear.com, and in seven days (I think although I might be mixing plots) they die of their worst fear (drowning, snakes, etc). It came out a couple of months before The Ring (in the U.S.) in 2002.

Hi Kardooma, I suppose you are looking for psycho-chillers. Have you seen 'Mirrors'? This was shown last year (I think), starring Kiefer Sutherland. How about others like Grudge, Dark Waters, Psycho...there are many more! Have fun!

Pretty much if you want that kind of psycho-thriller, check out any asian horror film that has been remade in American. Or see the original. Ringu was very well done, although not as creepy, it was still plenty scary. Recently there was a movie that came out called "The Uninvited", another Asian horror remake. It was wonderful. But honestly if you get tired of the American horror genera of "jump out and say boo" then check out your local blockbuster and see if you can get some asian horror films. Subtitles aren't that annoying, and some of the DVD versions have a dubbed audio track.
