Do you get mail every day?

I was just wondering about others. Do you get mail every day? I used to, before I moved. Today would have made 5 days in a roll that I didn't get mail. Then, since I had checked it a little early, I went down and checked it again just now. Well, I was glad I finally received some mail. One piece was a bill that I was expecting. I was glad to receive a letter from my niece though. Even though we can always email back and forth, it just seems a little more special to get a piece of snail mail. And it seems a little more personal. What about you? Do you like getting mail? Do you wonder if something is wrong if you don't receive any mail?

I can go days without getting any snail mail. My wife, on the other hand, gets mail every day, even if it is only junk mail. On the other hand, I get a lot of email, and she gets almost none. So it goes.

Hi again, and thanks for your response in this discussion. I think it is funny how some people receive a lot more email or a lot more snail mail than others. I just recently moved again, and haven't received any junk mail yet. Unless you include that which is addressed to "Resident", LOL.... My sister, moved into my old house last fall. She said "You sure do get a lot of mail." I haven't forwarded the mail from there because I still consider it to be my primary residence.

Oh dear - I went weeks I couldn't check my email and when I did I had 1000s. I have all my friends here at mylot notification turned on so every time one posts a new discussion I get an email. Then I have several things that I get weekly and daily emails from... LOL one time in my spam folder alone on yahoo I had over 1000... Now I have internet at home again I usually chk 2 times a day except for like now when I'm online I keep my email open so clean out in between posting here on myLot. I would KNOW something was wrong if I didn't get any email for a day - I've had the same email addy for almost 10 years now.

I do get emails everyday since I have several e-group memberships that send me updated emails on several topics. But with regards to friends or relatives, no, I don't get emails everyday. I agree with you on the regular snail mail, it's nice to receive something like this, it's more exciting.

I have a book that I have been thinking of sending a friend, and I know she is like me and enjoys receiving snail mail. I need to get that in the mail. And my mom's birthday is coming up next week, so I should get a card off in the mail to her too. I am one who doesn't really like to send a card without writing at least some type of letter to go along with it. Thanks for your response in this discussion, and have a great day!

Wow, it is great that you are receiving so many letters. I haven't received a letter via snail mail from just a friend in a really long time. I used to have a friend who would write a letter now and again because she enjoyed receiving snail mail also. But I haven't heard from her except by phone and now and then an email in such a long time. Thank you for your response in this discussion, and have a fine day!

No, not really. We all have our own points of view. I know a lot of people who do not like getting mail. And I guess all of the junk mail really is a waste for the environment. I don't know how many things that I throw away in the garbage can before it even gets in my door or even opened for that matter. Thanks for responding in this discussion. And I see that you are kind of new here, so let me send out a great big WELCOME to YOU!!!
