i bought a yoga tape today and asked my 5 year old if she wanted to try. she was so cute. they are so flexible at this age so she kept saying i'm good at this mom, your not. she wants to take mom and daughter yoga classes so i'm going to see if it's offered at the gym here. that would be so cute. she really loved doing it so we will continue it at home together

hi pop!!! oh that is soooo cute! hihihi i have recently read about yoga and how it does wonders for our health and figure. i wonder if i can get into that after i give birth. they say we can just download yoga sessions from the internet. i hope my husband can find a site for me. but that is so nice that you and your daughter could have a bonding moment like that. who knows, she might have a career in that? hahaha take care and God bless you mommy! happy mylotting! :D

My hubby tried to do the same thing with my daughter. Only it was karate classes. It didn't take as well. She went a few times, but only to make him happy. She really wasn't interested.

I'm so glad to know that you and your daughter are beginning Yoga. Yoga will change your life. It helps keep mind and body, well and healthy. Its a good idea to take some lessons so that you can understand how the poses are done. The next best thing would be some books that show the yoga poses. Young children are very good at yoga because their joints are still flexible. Its natural as we age for our joints to become stiff. This is why older people no longer walk straight, and shuffle as they go. Yoga will keep you young in mind and body!

That is so sweet. I know my niece likes to do a bit of yoga (she's 9) and when she and her sister (age 7) come and stay with me they like to join in when I do my exercise, which is very cute. I think mother and daughter yoga classes sound like a great idea - lots of fun and very sweet.

I think that would be great if you could find a class like that for you and your daughter. Talk about some quality time, I'm sure she loves beeing able to participate in something mom is doing,(and doing it better, right). Plus you are getting her started on the road to fitness. I've hear some great things about yoga. Good luck on finding a class...let us know how it pans out.
