A long line for a few dozen jobs is a sign of the economic times.
I cannot believe things have gotten this bad. Would you wait in line for a number like at the local bakery?

I know if I would be right there in line to get a job to support my family especially in these days and times if i was qualified for it. Hopefully they won't be taking first come first serve as job applicants only. I do hope that soon they will be a abundance of work back for everyone can make a living.

If my family needed me to do this, then I would. Sometimes there just aren't many options. I hope that I keep my job at least through this economic downturn. To be unemployed when the economy is doing well would be preferred if unemployed at some point you needed to be at all. :)

hi ersmommy!
well, i guess the situation is that already. so many companies have retrenched people in a single week, numbers have raked up to hundreds of thousands all over the world. so naturally, whenever there is an opening people would just dive to get a job, even if it pays lower than their previous job and is not what they deserve.
the issue now is no longer, is this the right kind of job for me, but rather, is this the kind of job that would get me and my family by this difficult time.
people are no longer choosy when it comes to looking for jobs. such is the times now. you can no longer demand, except in isolate cases. because the issue here is survival.
take care and God bless you!
happy mylotting! :d

Interesting topic in today's world.
You know what? I see it as a time when people want to work and earn a living. Times are tough but we still have many untapped resources for creating jobs. Wouldn't it be scary if noone was in line? If someone wants to work, let them! Everybody is good at something and it's worth something to someone else. Right? Remember the proverbial "one man's garbage is another man's treasure"??? Tis true now more than ever. But to answer the question, YES! I would stand in line and fight for my right to earn a living. A bakery wouldn't be so bad would it? You'd get to eat fresh pie and drink coffee for breakfast!
Thanks for the interesting topic!
