Can You Dictate Once Heart??

Yesterday, one of my friends talk me and told me that she was really sad of her break up with this boyfriend. 
Both of them are my friends. She want me to talk her boyfriend. To tell him that not to leave her.
But I told her "we cannot dictate once heart".if a person really do not want to love us anymore, we cannot do something on that. I really pity her but I cannot do something on that?But I will still try to talk to the guy?What about you?If you were in my situation, what will you do?how will you help your friend?share your opinion.

yes, i do agree with you rberon.. we cannot really dictate once heart because it's their choice, they have the freedom to choose what's they wanted to their life.. we as freinds or lovers are only instrument to make them happy, or to make them angry and give them pain..for me, i will talk to my friend, give her comfort, talk to her and be a shoulder to cry on..just give her time to cry and to say all what she feel, then give her a hug and say, dont worry i'm always here to be your friend..
