I watched a TV program a litle while ago about adults finding ther "birth mothers" wh had given them up.These womwn do it because hardship ( many years ago ) and wanting to give there child a better life.
I had a really bad childhood, a father I never met, and a mother who had nothing and constantly strugled.Donn't get me wrong I'm not saying anything against my mother.
So is it selfish or unselfish to give up a child so they have a better life ?

I think adoption is sacrifice. Your giving up something you love so they have a chance at something better. It takes a strong person to do it but at least your giving that child a chance rather than just aborting it. At least that's how I see it...

I had one child, a boy, of my own and if I could put the clock back then he would have an adopted brother or sister. I think those that have a child of their own and also give the chance of a proper loving family life to a child by adopting one are wonderful people. There are so many lonely children out there and I can't helpwondering what there idea of life will be once they become adults.
What I do not understand though are adopted children who must search for their natural parents once they become adults. This sometimes must be an awful pain and cause for stress to those that have raised them as their own.

I don't think adoption is selfish at all. I really think adoption serves a great purpose. I just think it's selfish of people that continue to populate the planet with their own children without even thinking about adopting children that spend their entire lives in group homes or foster homes. Those children never really feel loved and when they turn 18 are often thrown into the streets with no money and no place to go.
Those children are just as deserving of love as other children and I don't get why more people can't consider adoption without going and getting pregnant and constantly popping out children.

Dear friend,
I hope if the adoption is for a child and to further happily as by giving those parental affection to child is well and good and I hope majority of parents who like to their childern are selfish for their child. May in case of adoption if love is a part I love is like a ocean and when it is for beloved one I hope it may or may not turn to be selfish according to the attitude person who give and take love.
