Staying up?

Do you think that if your husband works late into the night that it is your duty to stay awake and greet him? I usually stay awake unless he has a job that requires him to be away at night. He is a truck driver and sometimes has to stay out all night.

Hello bamakelly! Honestly, I do think that it's my duty to wait for him especially if he will come home late. He is out late at night too and if we are only together now, I would probably wait for him and I won't sleep unless he won't go home.

that is a personal decision for every family, if the woman works or is up at 6 in the morning, no, if the woman can get up anything of the day she feels like then it is nice to do

It depends on what your own schedule is during the day. If for example, you need to wake up early most days in order to go to work yourself, then I wouldn't say you shouldn't go to bed before he gets in. Or if you are at home all day looking after the kids on your own, or have had a particularly exhausting day, I think it is acceptable that you would want to go to bed before hubby gets home. On the other hand, if you are not too tired, it would of course be lovely to stay up and give him a warm kiss and a cuddle as he gets in from work!

I wouldn't think of it as a duty but it would really be nice if you could wait for him even if it's late.In my case,I usually can't get myself to sleep until my husband's home.
