How many of you learnt parenting before begeting any child? Unfortunately, throughout the world, most of the people do not care for it. The result is -- children become / remain dissatisfied. They also illtreat their next generation. It is a matter of great concern. All colleges should teach Parenting to all students.

Not everyone wants to or is fit to be a parent. I do not think you can require all people to take parenting classes.... Not all parents go to college....Not all parents can afford it.. I learned from my mother, and from being the eldest sibling. I understand what you are suggesting, but there are some parents who do not need classes...and yet some people who should not have children.... Caring for a life is one of the most important things anyone can do...I believe more should be celebrated for the contribution they give to the world...good, caring, loving people they helped nurture... That's our only true hope for survival...

As I have given the previous example above, many mothers treat their children like that. You know most of the Indian parents become parents unknowingly. I am not only talking about mothers, it is including mother and father both. Unhappy/unhealthy mothers with untimely / unwillingly born children cannot manage their lives. So, the anger falls upon the children. Ultimately, the children suffer a lot at their early ages. So, their psychologies also become far from normal often.

No, what i learned was by watching my mom. She is a good mom, and I try to do what she did, what she does. Parenting isn't something that can be taught. I mean yeah the basics like treat kids good, and feedings and stuff, but you learn when you have kids. And until you practically have a child, and love and care for it, those classes wont do any good. Its something that is inside you.

Correct. But you know many mothers cannot catch up the child's psychology. Today only I met a child who is very naughty. Wherever her mother takes him, he becomes the cause of quarrel. However, the child is too little to understand that. I saw a spot (scar) on the child's chick. While enquired, he explained his mother gave him a hit there with a red-hot spoon as he bit another child a few days back. The mother said, she became very angry and could not control herself, so she gave that hot blow. She did not realize that it would be hurting to that extent... So, isn't is very much essential to learn parenting???
