This is a question for those that like pasta which includes spaghetti. Do you cook linguine also with pasta sauce. Or would you rather use linguine in another type of recipe?

my wife cooks spagetti sometimes using the typical spagetti pasta and sometimes with different pasta. sometimes linguine, sometimes using macaroni pasta, sometimes using the ribbon sytle pasta or the twisted ones. she also cook carbonara using different kinds of pasta. the other day she cooked spagetti and used the twisted pasta and our child enjoys eating that. i think it is easy to pick up it with fork.

Living alone, when I make Spaghetti sauce, I get to eat a lot of leftovers. I have found that changing the pasta under the sauce, changes the flavor of the meal. I sometimes use spaghetti noodles, sometimes linguine, sometimes the twist you mention, sometimes the shells. Sometimes I just use the wide flat noodles. It helps me to feel as though I'm eating a different meal each night. I, like your child like the twists. For me, it's the taste more than the ease of eating!!!

Here in Italy linguine (long tongues) are served typically with many different fish sauces rather than meat sauces. Personally I prefer spaghetti which are difficult enough to manouvre in a decent manner and can be served broken. Linguine are usually left long which makes them more of a hazard for those who were not brought up here

I use it for tuna noodle casserole, I cook it and season it with soy sauce and use it in stir fry. It's very versatile. Linguine, that is. Spaghetti is good with some low-calorie Asian dressing and mixed with chicken and stir-fry vegetables and some pineapple--yum!
