Isn't is shameful that Americans need so much outside help?

What I mean is, British housekeepers (Kim and Aggie) came to clean up American houses on their T.V. show which was originally British. British icon Peter Ishkan is helping American small businesses on another show called Peter Perfect on the Style Network. Godon Ramsey, restaurateur, is helping American restaurants straighten themselves out after doing the same thing in Britain for several years. And lastly, the original What Not to Wear co-hostesses, Trinny and Susannah, have apparently decided that their American counterparts are not doing a good enough job and are now coming to America to help us out themselves. Isn't it a bit awful that Americans are so screwed up in certain areas that we can't even be helped by people from our own country? What do you think or am I reading too much into this?

It is certain Americans that need this help. I know I would rather deck the b*tch and the A88hole hosts of What Not To Wear than get rid of my clothes. My house is clean. I don't own a business large or small.so I am not the American that needs help. But I think it is great that Americans are proud enough to ask for help when they need it.Many of our cousins abroad don't ask for the help. If I wanted a new look , I would ask for help.wouldn't you?

Well, specialists come from all over. I've seen the housekeepers and I love their show. I've also seen some God awful homes over there in Britian so I know it's not just the US with dirty homes. I've also seen Gordon Ramsey and although I think he's pretty rude, he is a fanatic about cleanliness which is great in any restaurant. I say where ever we can find the help, lets get it...look at it this way...the restaurant that some forgein person visits on their next US visit, might be the one Ramsey helped clean up. haha I think you are definitely looking too far into this... Them helping is called entertainment, not operation let's help America out, they can care less about that aspect, it's just television, you can't take the television so seriously. Reality TV style shows just give people false perceptions of society, and it's almost always negative.

I can tell you one thing for sure , the typical American home is not as filthy as what Aggie and Kim clean. If my house were that filthy I would not want it aired on television. Even the houses on Clean House are cleaner than the ones on How Clean is Your House.
