Who Are They To Make Assumptions About My Last Name?

Canada

I reacently added my husband's name to my subscription to Reader's Digest, making it OUR subscription. Instead of coming to Me, it would come to Me & Him in that order, because he feels that men's names have "come first for too long." My initials are L C and his are W B, C being my last name, and B being his. Today "our" first magazine after renewal came to L C & W Bhislast. That is to say My initials, and his initial with surname. If they dind't have room they could have put L Mylast & W Hislast, not L Initial & W Hislast. Who are they to change my damn name? What was written on the form should be on the paper. I refuse to come under his last name, when that is against our beliefs. I'm going to send them a note with my payment telling them to fix the names.

I'm almost BLIND, and even I can COPY something from an order blank into a computer label. Am I to assume they have WORSE vision than they do? I clearly wrote L Mylast and W Hislast. If they can't see well enough to read that, they need to get some talking order readers!!

Since they got the names wrong, I would write return to sender and send the issue back and then I would call the customer service to get the name correctly. Sarah isn't my real name. My real name I hate, hate but it can be spelled several different eays and I have had to fight to get it spelled correctly. And if someond says it incorrectly, I don't answer.so getting names wrong is a huge deal with me.Why pay for the wrong name on a magazine?

You've just earned yourself a BEST RESPONSE for this one! I have the right to be called by MY NAME, and if they don't like what's written clearly on the order form, it's their effing problem, and not mine!

I do not get upset with things like that although when I went to a company party with my husband (while we were dating) the company had print my name tag with his ex's name on the tag. I wasn't thrilled about that but luckily they had blank tags and I just hand wrote my name
