My daughter's father took her to see WWE Raw in St. Louis last night, Feb 2. They had seats along the side where the wrestlers came out. Rey Mysterio came out and did his "head tap" as I call it to some of the kids and then he started walking to the other side of the crowd and pulled off his mask and walked to a little girl and put the mask on her head, then "head tapped" her. THAT LITTLE GIRL WAS MY DAUGHTER!!!
I don't have cable or satilite so I didn't get to watch it, but her father recorded it so I got to see it tonight. I was just excited as she was when I was watching it. She said when he "head tapped" her he said, "Gracious".
She showed me the mask too and it was really cool to see and also to hear her talk 90 to nothing about her night.
She said after the match Rey Mysterio walked by and pointed to her and blew her a kiss.
She was so excited and frankly, I was too! I was bragging today at work about it and was asking everyone if they had watched it last night. Quite a few people had watched it and said they seen where Rey Mysterio gave the mask to the little girl, but they didn't know it was my daughter. Yeah, I'm a little excited about it too!
So, did you watch Raw last night? Did you see my daughter?

Oh my gosh, I saw that one. My hubby and I was watching it and when I saw him give the mask to the little girl I told my hubby that was very awesome and sweet of him to give her the mask. Wow that is cool that it was your daughter that got the mask. I don't blame her for talking about it like that. Knowing that he talked to her and let alone that he gave her the mask. That I am sure that will be a story that she will share with her future children and hubby when she gets to that phase. I would love to go and see Rey Mysterio that would be a dream come true. He is very talented in what he does I don't think I would ever be able to do the moves he does. Well tell your daughter that I said that it is cool that she go the mask.

Yes, it's been 5 days since it happened and she/we are still talking about it!
She took her mask to school yesterday for Show and Tell and when I picked her up all the teachers were talking to me about it. I think my daughter is enjoying her 15 minutes of fame.
This will be something that she talks about for years and years. I'm sure she will still be talking about it when she's in her 80's.
Thanks so much for letting me know that you and your husband seen her!

That's pretty cool. That's the type of thing that keeps the audience cheering for the good guys. I did watch Raw on Monday night, and I did see that. I had just read recently somewhere that Rey had done the head tap along with giving his mask to a random kid in the crowd during a non-televised show, and Vince and the other higher ups liked it and decided to have him do that when coming down for every match. You can kind of compare that to when Bret Hart used to give his sunglasses to a random person in the crowd before every match, and it's cool that Rey is doing a similar thing now.

Yes, I think it really is cool too. It is great that they do this with the kids too. My daughter is just a small town little girl and for something like this to happen to her, it's A REALLY BIG DEAL!
I remember Bret Hart giving out his sunglasses. I was a HUGE Bret Hart fan when I was growing up. I don't watch wrestling now, but that's only because I don't have cable or a satillite, if I did then I'm sure that I would be watching it still.
Thanks for letting me know you seen my daughter in her 15 minutes of fame!

I don't watch wrestling but I do believe my son had it on for a while.
I actually don't hardly ever watch TV because I don't have much time for sitting other than when I am at work. If I am sitting I am on the computer trying to either get some personal things done or make more money. Sounds like a neat thing for her though. That would really excite my son if something like that happened to him.

I did see the show and no, I didn't see your daughter. I'm sure it must've been cool for her to meet one of her heroes, though. Personally, I like Kane a lot better than Mysterio and I was glad they let him beat Mysterio for a change. In my opinion, the show wasn't that great. It was a perfect example of PG WWE. Now that might be fine for some people, but I miss the days of the Attitude Era. Here are some thoughts on the show if you're interested:
-C.M. Punk looked like a total wimp in his match. He didn't see William Regal walk by him so he could trip him from behind? Then he gets hit by a running knee and pinned?! He was booked terribly as World Champion and it looks to continue with him as IC champion.
-The backstage attack on Shane McMahon was really tame compared to some of the beatdowns I've seen in all of the years I've watched wrestling.
-John Cena may be a nice guy in real life, but his promos are lame. Him yelling "Stop and Enough" at Chris Jericho is lame. The fact that Chris Jericho never gets to beat him is stupid. He needs to lose the WHC at No Way Out.
