video captured from a webcam to a laptop

just two hours ago, i captured a video of my niece, she joined a beaty pageant in her school, thru my laptap and webcam, using windows movie maker, but when i tried to play it, ots too fast a if on fast forward.., but the sound is in real time. what went wrong.. i did not change any setting.. please somebody help me, i'm supposed to give a copy of the video to the school but i cannot adjust the speed of the video.. thanks in advance
