People not saying thank you?

Today people just don't have manners. Today my husband and i went to an appointment we had after which i went out to our car and waited for my husband to finish his dealings. While i was waiting a couple came up looking for this particular office in which i just came out of so i gave them directions so that way they could get there on time. How ever they just looked at me funky and went to where i told them to go never said thank you not once or even smiled at me for giving them the information. What is this world coming to where people don't say thank you or please any more. And we wonder why our children of today are so rude?

There are bound to be people like this and if it happened to me, I might feel a bit ticked off but I would forget them in a second and not bother with the likes of them. I don't like keeping those people populating my head. Cheers!!

It's education and manners. These days people are so much in themselves, they don't feel ethic anymore, they don't have a life balance. They turn into robots. Soon "thank you" and "please" words will need to be installed in people's head to hear some decency.

I think that you are right about rude people. I always find it rude when you open the door for someone and they do not say think you. What really surprised me was that there are many elderly people how are just as rude. I used to work in a nursing home and I was so surprised what the expect out of me and a very small portion of them would say think you.

Saying thank you is a nice manner. My mom teach us to say thanks to people who help us or give us something. But youth nowadays is different. They forgot or never practice the good values.

ew..the couple is so rude, they may thought that you were tricking them, but you should not be bothered because of this,it's not worth, you help others without expecting they thank you or something,so you lose nothing, just let it go and don't let you out of mood because of this

when you r helping others , its good that you dont expect anything from the opposit side, just think that some other day some other person will help you wen ur in need..! but saying thank you was a simple thing they could have done that... but forget the person who dint tell u thank you,cos h/she may have been in extreme urgency,or something might have been going on in their head, n they fogot to tell u thank you.. I will tell u thank you on their behalf, Thank Youu...!! Be happy..!
