I have so many fabric pieces that are really too small to do anything major with and I have been thinking of sewing and making pincushions , but what do I stuff them with?????

We used to stuff them with all sorts of things - beans, rice, fiber fill, other pieces of scrap fabric from cuttings, scrap pieces of yarn from cuttings, and so on. We didn't like to waste anything.

The scrap fabric would be easy for me. Great tip!!! Thank you so much, I am so glad I asked this because it might have been a while for me to get to the store to buy fiberfill. this saves money and cleans out my craft room of all of the scraps.

I have made them and stuffed with almost everything. Fiber fill, toy stuffing, and one most people don't think of is to stuff with fine steel wool. Not the soapy kind but the stuff you find with wood finishing products. Really nice to help keep pins and needles sharp and rust free.

I'd just stuff them with small rags that are too small for anything else, if you have lots of small fabric scraps you could try making something out of patchwork too.
