Too clean?

Do you feel that you might be too clean and people have somewhat criticized you about it? Did it make you feel that you ought to hold back a little or did it not really change your views at all about being clean?

Right now I suppose I'm in that situation. I try to keep the apartment company ready all the time...I have a lot of family in the neighborhood and we don't have a landline yet so they can't exactly call ahead if they want to visit. My room mate doesn't seem to think anything needs to be cleaned until it smells or is piled too high to step over . Needless to say, his bedroom door stays shut most of the time! He continuously tries to get me to blow things off with "you can do that later..." but I just keep telling him that I'd rather get the cleaning done and out of the way so I'll be able to enjoy the apartment and feel relaxed.

I have never been in that situation, my sister is super clean though but she lives for herself nobody else.

I have never been criticized for being too clean. In fact my mom always use to yell at me for just the opposite. Now that I am older and responsible for cleaning and maintaining the whole house I still wouldn't be classified as a clean freak. My house isn't dirty but it is generally messy. There is a difference. I have a lot of stuff around but there isn't dirt and grime and dust making the house disgusting. I guess when you have little kids there is always something that could use cleaning.
