My little foster kitty's new mama wrote and told me that after about a day of hissing, growling and hiding under the sofa, little Diego came out and became really lovable. He has a little kitty friend about the same age. Sounds like he's really in a good place. So I miss the little guy but I'm glad he's got a new home. Meanwhile, Jason is very clingy. I guess he misses Diego.
My kids are a bit funny about this. They have a problem with the concept that the kittens won't remember each other, won't remember us, etc. But oh well, they are dealing with it...

If kittens have been lovingly handled they will get over being in a new home as soon as they realize that in that place there is someone to love them. It's always hard to let them go but it's great when you follow up and find they have found a wonderful new home. Tell your kids how much joy this little guy is bring to his new home and part of that is because they taught him how to love.

Awk! You must miss him. I know how much you loved him. He sounds really fine though now and he seems to have a great owner.
I feel sorry for your children also, as we have been through something similar with our cat, but they will be OK in a day or two.
Awk yous all seem a little sad.

People get too attached to animals when they are little, I do not think animals develop love for people for a long time.
