Do U Allow Your Pets On Your Bed?

I don't have any pets, but I was wondering how do the people here at MyLot feel about pets, cats, dogs, on your bed? And if you allow your pet to sleep or lay in the same bed with the humans in the house. If I had a pet I would not allow them on my bed. Being in the house would be enough and if they need a bed or some bedding to lie on I would get them a place (bed) of their own. My sister had a dog and he stayed on the bed all the time. He would jump up on the bed and lay there, if he sleep there at night I do not know. For me that would be a NO NO. How about You?

a big NO NO NO! if my husband allow i will let him sleep outside our room together with his pet.. thats the reason why i dont have pets coz it gives me skin allergies and medicines nowadays are too costly.. i dont like spending money for allergies which i can prevent.

we have pets in the house, particularly dogs and we let them sleep in bed only if they are clean. Anyway, animals are also like humans that need care and special treatment.

I don't mind them sleeping at my feet on the bed. I tend to kick and move a little bit, though, so our Rat Terrier gets disgusted and leaves lol

I have always had dogs in the house on all the furniture, even in beds. I am almost 30 and my mother is in her 50s. No one in our family nor anyone I know has ever caught any "diseases" from their pets! That's just silly. If you take care of your pet and keep it clean, it will not pose any harm to you more than likely.

Hey chevee! Nice to hear from you! Hope you're doing ok! I have two cats and one of them loves to sleep with me all the time, but my boyfriend won't let him! My poor cat gets really upset! He is used to sleeping in the bed with me and he did it before my boyfriend moved in and now he can't! So as soon as my boyfriend leaves for work in the morning Star comes running up on the bed as is so happy! Then we go to sleep together! And sometimes my other cat Luna comes on the bed too!

I am doing good my life is like a seesaw some days I am up and some I am down, but I am making it. So far so good. I know your cats can't understand that a human (Man) has taken their place, I guess they say it is not fair.

I guess it would depend a lot on what kind of pet it was. I'm talking about if the dog or cat has long hair, or sheds a lot. I have both a cat and a dog, I take care of both of my pets. I keep'em clean so I don't mind it if they sleep on the bed or couch with me. Both are short haired. The cat tends to sleep on the bed when no ones in it. But when I go to sleep at night, my dog will jump into the bed, too. My dog's a little chihuahua so I think it mostley sleeps with us mostley for body heat. And neither of them have ever pooped or peed in the bed, so that doesn't worry me. I don't mind them sleeping on the bed, it's nice to have them around.

My mother doesn't allow pets on the bed, and she got them their own beds. However, they always seem to end up on mine. The best when it's me, my lab, my shih tzu, my jack russell, and my two cats all on there together. It's crowded, but warm and comforting. I actually like to joke that I like my pets better than most people. Of course, I work at a vet clinic, so all my pets are on monthly parasite preventatives. lol!

My sister's dogs sleep in her bed all the time. So whenever she drops the dog's off at my house, they have to sleep in my bed! UGH- AND ONE OF THEM IS A BIG WHITE LAB. He literally- NO JOKE, spooned me in my bed. If I didn't pet him, he'd start talking in this weird creepy voice, and then put his paw on me. It would be different if he was a little dog, but he's bigger than me, so it's just weird! When I get my dog, he's not sleeping in my bed. Haha, my sister is an enabler to her dog! He can't handle sleeping by himself.

Ugh - there's no way I could have let that dog sleep with me! You're a nice person to do it since that's what the dog was used to, but I don't think I could have done it!

both are dogs are invited to bed if we let them (note: we have a bed cover). before going to sleep, we invite them to go up. but if they go on their own i carry them down to the floor and say no. so pretty much they just sit and wait expectantly to be invited. my mini schnauzer is a sweet one. he'll fall asleep on our bed snuggling beside us. when we are both really sleepy and tired to watch tv, i carry him to his doggy bed beside our bed. our other dog, a shih tzu, goes down on his own. i think he's much more comfortable on the floor near the airconditioner. lol!

I used to let my pets on my bed all of the time, no problem. I have almost always owned a dog since I was about two years old. We had two miniature schnauzers when I was growing up. They were allowed onto our beds. My mom did get them groomed a lot. I never really remember them smelling bad but, of course, sometimes they did get pretty dirty if they ran into some mud outside. As an adult, I bought myself & my son another schnauzer almost six years ago. He will actually be 6 tomorrow! For the first year of his life, we WAS allowed on my bed. He actually slept in my bed at night. Then, I got remarried and my husband did not grow up with dogs, only cats. He thinks dogs are dirty and cats are clean. He doesn't mind our cat getting onto our bed but will not allow our dog onto it. I understand completely, although that did not make it any easier for me trying to adjust, nor our dog. It took quite awhile before our dog got used to the idea. Lots of crying & barking at night that kept us all awake until he finally accepted the whole thing and stopped complaining at night.

I think you are confused as to whos' bed it is. The cats and dogs are generous enough to let the human on the bed. I get one corner of the bed. The pets take all the rest of the space. My dog is good. She warms my side them moves over to her side of the bed when I come to bed.

We have a couple of dogs that sleep in our room at night. They do not sleep on our bed during the night but I know that when I get up in the morning that the one dog will crawl up onto my side of the bed. They have their own beds in our room and for the most part sleep there. The one dog is really attached to my husband and tries to get as close to him as possible.

I don't have any pets but if I did I would certainly let them sleep on my bed with me. If it was a big dog I might think twice about it but if it was like a small to medium dog or a cat I'd be fine with it.
