should kids who go to school be allowed to watch tv or play during weekdays?

as a parent, we always want what is best for our children. having a good education is a top most priority because of a competitive world they would face soon. but despite all this, we as parents should never forget that we have once been a kid. for me, i let my son play and watch tv during weekdays, but i just limit on the hours of playing and watching tv. i just allocate time for him to study in which he can't be deprive of being a child. i let him enjoy being with friends because from that he can learn to associate and interact people and not just all books and homeworks that he has to face. if he shows good standing in school, we acknowledge it, we go out and treat him for his good performance and if sometimes his grades get low, we encourage him that he still have a chance next time, that he just have to learn from his previous mistake. we should never pressure our kids to get high grades. it's better that they enjoy while learning.

I believe kids learn a lot more outside of school, yes they learn reading writing and maths but they don't learn life's ways, and commonsense and all the things that are so much more important than just remembering things.. plus the fact kids should be allowed to be kids and enjoy themselves in what sometimes is the best years of their life...let them have fun because when they grow up things will be different...
