Just saw in the news. Australia, Queensland is experiencing floods. Waters are as high as 9 meters as river embankments are overflowing, sending waters rising in many areas of Queensland! Many river embankments have broken, flooding the town areas as well as the suburban places. First it was blizzards in London. Then drought in China. Now floods in Australia. The weather seems to be all crazy of late!

Yeah, just before the floods happen in Australia, the temperature there was so high that it hit a record of 45 degrees!! But a few days later when the temperature starts to drop, then flooding happens.. IT's such a crazy weather now and global warming is getting much worse than before too.. I wonder waht's gonna happen next, and will it ever snow in singapore?? lol =D I dun mind if that happens because it's a rare sight.. hehe ^_^

Hmm... Though I would like to see snow in my life, I don't think I want to see it in Singapore. Cos if that day ever comes, we should all be worried! Imagine, the temperature in tropical Southeast Asia that is located along the equator, nearest to the sun, is snowing! That is terrible! And a day I wish will NEVER come to our island country!

It is indeed shocking to learn the erratic climate patterns, as they definitely led to loss of lives. It seems to me that the Earth as a huge living being is trying to "readjust" itself and respond to damaging human activities on the planet.

Yep. Some are saying Gaya is tired of being exploited. And she is taking her revenge on the very people who abuse her resources. And if you look at the situation from that point of view, it does look that way, doesn't it?

I believe it's a natural response from nature to regain its balance (if there is still a balance to talk about) and we can't run away from what we've done (unless living in another planet) can we?

I wish they could send some of that water down to Melbourne, we need it bad...I am not sure if this is for all parts of Queensland but I went to Rockhampton years ago and was surprised to see most of the houses were built up on what I called stilts, now I am not sure they were built that way because of floods or not but i guess for those houses if there is any in the flood area wouls be the lucky ones...I think all the changes in weather all over the world is very scary...

I have been to Rockhampton as well. AND as far as I remember, their wet period is suppose to be at the end of the year. I am not sure if the floods only affects certain parts of Queensland. I will have to read the morning's paper to know the details.

Just recently. The floods have not abated yet. And more people are dying from the attacks of alligators that were washed into the urban areas due to the floods. And in other parts of Australia, it is so dry and hot, fires are killing people as well! The extreme in weather is really scary when you see it on the news!
