We all have to see them or hear them, on TV, radio, in magazines (ads) etc. I have recently been perturbed with my favorite radio show as they now seem to be slipping back into their old habits of commercials for at least 20 minutes out of an hour of broadcasting. Over and over, the same commercials, ad nauseum. I just hate it. What do these advertisers think we are, idiots? Does anyone else feel the same way as I do?

You are correct. Most of the time there are more commercials that actual program time. A mute button works great for TV but for radio, that's a different story. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I have to agree for the most part but there are some that I get a laugh from such as the cat who can't find his litter box and hired a hound dog to help sniff it out and the dog sticks his head under a bed and then the cat does the same and then looks at the dog. That one is really cute but the others are a pain in the rear end because as it is, with my hearing problem, I have the volume up pretty loud and then the commercials come on with their blaring unmercifully that it just boils me over! I hit the "mute" button every time!

Well, of course, for us animal lovers the animal commercials are the exception, especially the cute ones. We don't mind listening to or watching those all day. (hee, hee) Thanks for your reply.

That's why I avoid commercial radio... CBC all day!

Yeah, they get a lot of listeners from the states... either off air in the border areas, or through live streaming on the internet, or on Sirius Satellite radio.
