Do you believe that MONEY CAN'T BUY HAPPINESS?

I have friends from the US who are now working as nurses, they are earning pretty good but they are saying that they are not happy. I am stuck here in my homeland and I dream of going to US also to earn. I am happy here with my boyfriend but sometimes I think that i will be more happy to be like my friends in US working and earning. If money can't buy happiness then this means also that rich men are not happy. What do you think? Are you rich and happy? Or are you happy but not rich?

money can buy temporary happiness, but after that is gone you will have to find something else that is fun to do.

definitely money wont be able to buy you happiness. when I was in the States, everybody back home were so excited for me. they all said it was a great opportunity. but to be honest, I was really really sad there. I spent Christmas and my birthday in thr States and all I could think about was that I wanted to go home.

This is really subjective actually. How do you define happiness will determine whether riches can buy you happiness or not. Some find happiness in the simplest of things. And other find happiness in material gains. So how you define happiness will ultimately decide for you whether money will buy you happiness or not.

I agree that money can't buy happiness. However, it can get rid of some of the things that cause sadness, such as debt and worrying about whether your loved ones will have enough to live on if you pass away. I'm not rich at the moment. I was recently laid off from my job and I'm actively searching for a new one. I'd say I'm still fairly happy since I have enough to get by on (minus a few sacrifices I've made) until I'm hired again.

I think it depends on how you balance your life. I am not rich by any means, but for the most part I am very happy! Having more money would be better though because then it would eliminate the stress of not being able to afford your bills. I do think there is a point were greed gets in the way and all you worry about is having so much money that you are not happy because the people around you are not happy with you. I also think it depends on how you life your life. Why are your friends not happy? Boyfriend problems? Money can't buy a good man, even though we all wish it could. LOL! Depends on what makes them not happy. You control your own life and yes money can't buy happiness but it sure can ease stress from your everyday life the rest is up to you!

Money can't buy anything but the person using money can buy anything through that money. Soo in other words money is able to buy anything is this world but it all depends on you how you are using your money. When ppllz get rich they forget their old friends, relatives and change their community and living standards soo this thing hurts them at later stage. If you got a chance to earn good money go for it believe me money can buy anything, you just need to use it in right directions.

I believe money can only buy you happiness if you yourself are already happy. And finding happiness for yourself actually costs no money at all. It's a personal journey, and then if you have money it just makes everything a little better. The icing on the cake thing.

I believe that money cant buy happiness and without money one cannot live a happy life. Money matters for each and every thing we buy for the livelihood. So money in its place is very important and the happiness the happy moment which we get from the family and the children. The way how we care for the members and love them we get in return. I not a rich but now I am not happy too.Happy posting and have a nice day.

Happiness is not for sale. But when you have money you can be happy buying all your needs or for your loved ones. That is how money is used in our life to make us happy.Rich men have their way of using their money to make them happy.I'm not very rich but I'm very happy because I can do whatever I want with the money I have.In the end no one can't be happy without money.Being rich is how you feel for everything, you can feel rich even with only a small amount of money as long as you have peace of mind and contented with what you have.

That's right it can't but it sure makes living eqsier so you can set you mind on happiness. My Dad use to tell me I could fall in love with a rich guy as easy as I could a poor one, but as most teens, I didn't listen, besides all the rich guys i knew were terrible bores.

no....you cant buy happiness.....its just not possible......it cant even be searched for.....it just has to be felt. and yes, your friends are right,,,,,,if they are not happy...means they are not happy.......it may or may not be because of money.........they are people who are poor, yet, happy.........and there are others who are very rich but not happy. I'd like to suggest you something,...before going to US or....may be just before moving on in life, understand that going somewhere and earning a lot is not going to make you happy......you will be happy if you are happy....wherever be it.....go there for your career, studies etc,....but not because you think it will make you happy. have a nice day.....:-)

Hi! I am not rich but I am a lot happier than most of the rich people I see around.Money has nothing to do with happiness. It just makes the life more comfortable.what I value more for my happiness is the love of my near and dear ones who care for me not for money but for what I am.And I have that in plenty.

Money can buy you a lot of things but not happiness. Money can buy you company but not real friends, it can buy you a lot of women but not real love. I do believe that even poor people can still be happy in their life. I always tried to leave according to my means. It does not mean that rich people are not happy but greed makes you unhappy. The desire for more money at all costs makes you unhappy.

well, i guess it depends on what makes one happy. if only material things can make you happy, then of course money can buy happiness. however, you'll have to think long and hard about what exactly makes you happy. for me, material things doesn't make me happy. it may lift my mood for a little while, depending on how much the object interests me. but in the long run, it doesn't make me happy. to a certain degree, money is necessary for my happiness because i need money to feed my loved ones and take care of their needs. the thing is i don't need to be rich to do that. as long as i have enough, i'm happy. any additional money does not add to that happiness. cheers

Yes it is true that money can't buy happiness. If we have money for the basic needs and things to enjoy. It is okay.If we have money more than expected.then we think about the tax tension.we also think if our lives are secure with so much money. We also are scared that someone will rob the money.

I believe that it was Abraham Lincoln that said that one is as happy as he chooses to be. One can either dwell on what he does not have and be miserable or be thankful for what he does have and be happy.
