why do people attend college ?

After graduating from senior high school, many students make the choice of entering work force right away while the rest choose to further their education before finding a job. They attend college to obtain wider choices, higher salaries, more demanding and important positions in the increasingly competitve job market.
What are your reasons for entering a higher institution ? for self-advancement? for interest? or whatever?

Well I go to college because I dropped out of highschool and didn't get a job. After living with my parents for two years they decided to kick me out. They gave me a choice of them paying for my apartment and college or living on my own completely cut off from them. So now im in college.
I've always wanted to go and love it. I know it is the only thing that will lead to me having a better life in the future.

You already stated the typical reasons why people go into college. Higher Education=Better income=Better Life. Anyway, the only people here in our country who does not attend college are the ones who cannot afford it. Most likely, they will find a job just to be able to get their college degree.
