OK The laws have been passed in many states here in the good old U.S. of A. for quite some time now. Please just deal with it right? I'm a smoker and I have accepted the laws and follow them. The hubby and I have been enjoying bingo on Tuesday evenings it's our evening out during the week. During breaktime we go outside to have our smoke and I do admit it is quite cold but that doesn't bother me. What does is all the complaining about the laws. Anyways, we came back in took our seats and the next thing you know there is an announcement about the current laws concerning smoking and anyone caught not abiding these laws will be ejected from bingo hall. Naturally this started everyone talking about why we are being reminded of current laws... It turns out someone was smoking in the bathroom during break!! Come on!!! How old are you? You have to be 18 years or older to even be there... this is the behavior you expect in high school. I know it's cold outside but give me a break!! Why do people have to be so juvenile in their behavior? Non smokers have every right not to enjoy our fixation with smoking, so why must they be tormented by people not following the rules? I rather enjoy smoking outside, so what is the problem? I don't even mind not smoking in restaurants. I just look forward to my after meal smoke when I leave. Is it so hard to adjust? It's not like the laws were passed yesterday you know. How do the rest of my friends here feel about these laws? Have you dealt with people who don't wish to comply with these changes? Do you think it is such an imposition to go out for a smoke?....Mamablaze!!

Yes that is when we were young my friend...There was always 1 set of bathrooms that were called " the smoking john ". But we are no longer teenagers and I would expect better behavior from grown ups. Don't you? And I agree it was always great to get away with a ciggy or two at school. Thanks for your input...Mamablaze!!

I don't understand why people have a problem with this at all. I am a smoker and it really doesn't bother me. I don't like to bother other people with my habits and I certainly don't want to harm someone elses lungs that was smart enough to never pick up this habit. I have quit for long periods of time on occassion and so I am aware of how awful it does smell to a non-smoker. Besides that, the limits put on me to not smoke in a public place or even my own home because of my daughter have forced me to cut back which saves me some money. It would feel weird now lighting up in a public place.

i am tired of the way smokers are treated. it's almost like we were lepers or worse. i don't want to offend anyone w/my smoking but i get offended over all these rules & regulations where you cam smoke, where u can't smoke & all that bull. i am an adult & quit slipping around to smoke many years ago. i'll just stay home & smoke whenever i want to. the sad thing to me the ones who are raising all the hell about it use to be smokers themselves.to me they are just a bunch of hypocrites.
