Husband and me both lost our grandmothers

My grandmother died 37 days ago and my husband lost his grandmother 2 days ago. And both of us could not go to the funerals because we live in Australia and they both lived in Europe. I am happy that they got to see us few months ago when we went on holiday and I am glad we did now. My son got to know his great grandmothers and hopefuly he would have some recolection of them. He sais that my grandmother (he spend more time with her) that she is not dead that she is in hostibl (hospital) because she has a broken leg (she broke her leg while we were there and had to go to nursing home). He still does not understand death. I am just sad that they will never see my baby (due in april) and my baby will not have a great grandmother at all. Have you ever lost few people in a very short time?
