I love this place, grew up alot of times here and now, hardly a ride is still there that was there in the "olden days". I miss the People MOver, America Sings and the one where they "shrunk" you as you went on a tour through an atom!!!

The one about CLub 33 - that is located in the "french quarter" there by Pirates of the Caribean - but there is no notice of it! That is also the area where Walk Disney built himself an apartment.. which they are now renting out to of course only those that can afford it!
6 Rides you'll never see again at Disneyland - I remember 4 of them!

And one I know and will toss in - the wroght iron designs at gates and thought the park all have the "mickey ears" entwined in them, and there are dozens and dozens of "mickey ears" "hidden" around the park... you just have to look to find them. Once there was a set of trees pruned in the ear shape and you couldonly see them from looking at the right angle from Frontierland. They are there, you just have to look and find!

Yeah, sometimes I hate progress! But at least they got that supid Captain EO thing out of there. I couldnt figure why they did that one - what the heck does Michael Jackson have to do with Disneyland??? I like American Sings, People Mover, the "free" phone call from the GTE place and the 3-D movie thing where you stood in the middle of the room and the movie was all about natural history things in the USA, like grand canyon etc.

I have yet to visit Disneyland, but it is moving up on my priortiies. I usually go to Disneyworld once a year and really enjoy it each time. I know there are several rides at Land that the World doesn't have. One being Indiana Jones which I really want to experience. Another that now has my 4 year old nephew saying he wants to go to California for is the Pinocchio ride (he found it and now he wants to go!).
What are you current favorite must-do rides at either of the 2 parks (Disneyland and Grand Adventure)? Favorite shows? Best places to eat? Hey, the planning has to start somewhere, right?

Its been 10 years since i have been there last. Indy Jones is a good fun ride. But my problem.. Idon't really want to go back as I have such wonderful memories of that place for my childhood and my childrens childhoods, I just don't want to loose those memories. If you want personal recommendation s- start a discussiona nd have everyone tell you what they like. I love what is left of the old stuff - Tom Sawyer Island andthe little keel boats you take over htere and play on the rocks nad things. Mr. Toad's Wild ride (Wind in the Willow), ALice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Small World, Autopia, and Swiss Family Robinson's (Now changed to Tarzan) Tree house and the Jungle Boat ride. All originals of the 60's and the only ones left. Indy id good, haunted house is good, Pirates of Carabian, Cannonball Express (think that's the name..it is a roller coaster)
Food is expensive. Period. Nothing else to say on that! But start a discussion here and see what you get and plan you trip cause if you only have one day, and the lines are long, you want to try to organize the rides you want to do first, so you can get on them before it closes!!!
