Obama's speech tonight

As I watched Obama's speech tonight I could not help but wonder who he thought he was talking to. He is talking about needing change and not getting bogged down. But this bill is so "business as usual" and so bogged down with earmarks that it is shocking. Why does he want us to just swallow a bill with that much junk? Why is he preasuring Nay sayers to vote for it, instead of preasuring the senators that put earmarks on the bill to remove them. I do not think the senators screaming about the waste are wrong. I think the senators that are refusing the remove the waste are wrong. So why is it that the senators will not vote for it as is are the bad guys. This bill is not good as it currently is. Infact it is one big fat mess. So who really are the bad guys here?
