Will you go for a try of 8.8 carat ring in the Jeweller's?

I saw on tv that a newly opened jewellery shop is making big promotion of discount sales for the coming valentine's day. What makes hot is the try out of a 8.8 carat ring. Quite a lot of young couples are booking for it as a memory for the festival. Will you go for a try, if given the chance?

I don't think I would as it will give me sorrow and sleepless nights thinking that no one is going to pierce my heart with that cupid arrow for the coming valentine. Valentine day is just another day for me and it is only meaningful to the proprietors of jewelry or florist shops as this is the only day they will laugh their way to the bank.

maybe a 8.8 carat ring is a attractive, but i won't go for a try.Maybe when i was young,i would imagine how large a carat ring you will own in the future. But when you go to select the wedding ring, you will have another mind.i bought a carat ring but it is kept in my wardrobe.Though i hope i can find something as a memory for the valentine's day.A 8.8 carat ring is not necessary.

No, I wouldn't. The largest size I've tried on was close to a carat, but it looked gaudy on my finger. I have long slender fingers and prefer my quarter carat size diamond ring. I'm not interested in anything bigger, even if it's just to try it on.

Personally I would not.... I would always get something customely made in terms of gem stones and jewellery. It is just much more romantic. And for the money spent on 8.8 carats, I think I could get something damn nice for 3 or 4 carats! Quality over quantity! ;-)
