I had an interview today, I was asked to talk about my personality, I just did't know how to answer, if you are asked to talk about your personality, how will you do?

I ask this question all the time when I am interviewing people, mostly I am looking to see how well someone can think on their feeet. I want to see that they can answer quickly, because if they don't know who they are then how will I know if they are going to work well with their fellow potential co-workers.

To answear such a question you must be in good faith seriously fist, and then say something about your life experiences.Personality is just characterized by life to some extent.

Here's an idea of a way to tackle a question like that from an interviewer. Prepare a list of all your good qualities. Do this before you leave the house. Even the night before the interview. List 10 things about yourself. Sit down with a sheet of paper and right off the top of your head start writing whatever pops into your mind. Write anything and edit it later. Can't think of anything at first?. . .ask your friends, a parent, your sister/brother how they would describe your personality. Example: Outgoing, Enthusiastic, Hard Working, etc. With a list like that tucked away in your pocket (don't forget to memorize it), you'll be ready to talk about yourself. Give examples to the interviewer too. If you say you are enthusiastic, tell them in what way. Good Luck!!

hi mandy8611!we have the same story I guess,.just hired by two Big Companies here in the Philippines last week and that same question per se was so difficult for me to answer but you know?I just stated some good and the best part of me and how i covered up with obstacles and weaknesses in my 23years,perhaps it depends on how you recieve the question and answer confidently even if you really don't know the answer.heheheh thats what i did!so good luck!

I have got that question too, and I find it really difficult, because I was brought up to be "modest", not to say anything positive about myself, and of course I can not say anything negative in an interview. Also maybe I think myself I am so and so, and I am not really like that. I can say that I know much about the things I will work with, that I am careful and such things, but I don't really want to tell everything about my life in an interview.

it is an often question. in my opinion, you should just tell the interview what you are. if that company need to find the one with some particual kind of personalty to take that job and you are not, it won't do you good by lying and making belive that you are that kind of person. you won't feel happy or won't do the job very well even if you can land that job.
