I think I was pretty good at keeping a secret. People used to confide in me things that are not to be spread and I was doing a good job at it. However, after I met my boyfriend, I have taken to the habit of telling him everything and he does the same too. It so happened that a friend of ours had told me a harmless secret about a childish quirk that he has and asked me not to tell anyone about it. Well that very afternoon, when I was talking to my bf, it slipped off my tongue rather easily. I think my ability to keep a secret is a matter of the past now... Can you keep a secret?

I can alway keep secrets :) I don't understand the point in decieving someone's trust in you by going and telling her/his secrets to others. It doesn't make sense, if you are a good friend of that person and if she/he had enough confidence to trust you with a secret why stab her in the back? It means you're not a true friend... I would never betray someone even if it's a very insignificant secret, still if the person trusted me I won't do something as foolish as talking about it with others. Not even if it's with your boyfriend/girlfriend or any other close friends or family members...
It's a pitty I don't have any friends, so I haven't been in that situation so far.

I honestly think I can, but like you, I find myself telling my husband everything. It's hard to keep something from someone you're with almost 24/7 .. but if someone specifically tells me not to mention anything to him because of privacy, I think I can do it.
