I'm 17 and still hoping to be make it in the music industry. I was wondering what everyone else always wanted to be, and if you actually became just that? If you didn't did you at least try to make it in that career? Right now I'm in a band and my brother is also in a band so I'm getting as much exposure as I can to the music business. I hope to go to college to study music business too. Hopefully if you're still young, this conversation will give you more motivation to go for it again!

When I was young I can remember wanting to become either a teacher or a nurse. When I went to college I enrolled in nursing school. When my parents couldn't afford the tuition fees , I shifted to Education and completed only 3 years out of 4. I shifted back to Nursing when my sister convinced me to enrol again in nursing as people say I have an aptitude for it. I however got married when I was already on my second year. I still dream of becoming a nurse but for now I want to take of my baby first. Hopefully in the near future it will all come true with God's Blessings. Have a nice day and I hope you will achieve what you dreamed of.

When I was a child, I had a small ambition. I wanted to be a sales in the toy department so that I could play the toys all day long. Or I would like to be a staff in the zoo so that I could take care of the animals. I like animals. But now I am grown up, my work is totally different than my ambition:) I love China

Well, when I was a little kid, I wanted to be a paleontologist. I kind of figured that wasn't for me, though. I'm not really an outdoorsy person. I am just fascinated by dinosaurs and fossils. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a singer. I was classically trained in voice. I was pressured by family to pursue that, though. I went to college to study vocal performance, but dropped out after I finished my first semester for several reasons. I am glad I did because I am now 26 and earning my bachelor's degree in psychology, which is really what I wanted to do in high school, but my parents simply told me, "No, you don't want to do that," and I wasn't allowed to pursue it any further.

That sounds cool, I'm actually taking an advanced psychology class next year for my senior year in high school. That's good you're doing what you want to do though.

When i was a kid, i wanted to become a medical doctor.. so when i went to college, i took a pre med course, Biology.. But becoming a medical student isn't easy as i always thought. I've had a hard time coping with the schedule, lessons, laboratories, etc so i've decided to quit and shift to another course.. some of my friends didn't pursue the course too.. one of my friends became a successful flight stewardess, the other one is a call center agent and the rest were nurses..

I wanted to be an engineer when I was a kid but I end up being a medical transcriptionist. Now, I don't dream of becoming an engineer at all 'cause back then, I didn't realize how many math lessons I have to take. I hate math, I'm not good at that subject at all. I love my current job now.

Hi Jacob .. I remembered I want to be an architect when I was a kid Although I'm pretty sure I don't know what is an architect All I know they make great buildings I was visiting singapore that time But I didn't make it, since my passing grade score wasn't enough Huhhh.. I'm now studying human resource management I'm 23 right now, and I still like designing I can't design buildings, but I can design tshirts and clothes I still want to be a designer, have lots of retail store, become famous globally, and make lots of money !! Hehehee.. Maybe for a start, I should say become famous nationally instead of globally I'm now about to start my first collection, together with a friend Hope that everything will work out and we can continue the clothing line XD .. Ah good luck to you too Jacob ! I'm sure you'll make it and become a famous singer .. :D Maybe in the future I'll see your picture here .. LOL All the best to us .. !!

I wanted to be taller. I thought about being in sports like many kids but the whole taller thing kind of shot that down the drain. I also thought about being an archeologist because i like the whole travel around and discover thing. Then I went to college and thought I would get into business but I made it through 1 4 hour accounting class and was bored out of my mind. So I didn't go that way either. I finally settled on something where I am actually working with kids and it is fun so the whole thing worked out pretty well.

I had this huge fascination to become a Vet , and went all ends to it ,literally gave all efforts to it ,there were few hic-ups along the way . But finally after all that i got selected into the college ,which a few only dream .And today after 5 years I am a veterinarian . Whenever i am down ,i just see myself what eforts i had done back then and fill myself with belief. So doesn't matter what dream you have ,just give it all, meet the people who matter the most to your dreams ,do things which makes your dream come near to you Cheers Vishwas

I'm a litte older than you [I just turned eighteen last night, but whatever] and back when I was younger I, like most of the predictable population, wanted to be a teacher. A few years later my mom exposed me to everything art-related--drawing, writing, you name it. I want to be a singer but the only place people can actually hear me is in church. I'm in the church choir and I want to break through too, but in reality we don't have that much time to play with life for something like that. Right now I'm in my second year in college, and I'm taking up the same course my parents and most of my aunts took up: accountancy. I like math, but I hate analysis. I'm still trying to see how long I can last in this course--if I make it the whole four years, I might take up Multimedia Arts as a second degree. They all want me to be a lawyer, but I don't enjoy reading books simply because I'm asked to do so. Though I'm working on to be an accountant, I still write/draw/sing a little. I don't want college to swallow me whole. Happy MyLotting!

Hi, I wanted to be a fashion designer when I left High school and went to The London College Of Fashion. I left after a month as I wanted to make money and got stuck in a rut working in an office photocopying. I don't know what I want to do career wise now but if I knew I would really go for it. I wish you all the best with your band and your music business studies:)
