How's your vision?

Do you need to wear lenses to correct your vision? If so, do you prefer contact lenses, glasses, or wear both just about equally?
I prefer to wear contacts the majority of the time, although my eyes have seemed drier lately than usual, and I have been wearing contacts for over 10 years. I think they feel more natural. When I wear glasses, they can fall or slide and make my nose feel greasy up top where the pads rest.
How about you?

Hi. i have to have two pair of glasses with me at all time. i have reading glasses and the glasses i wear all the time. i have thought about going and get my eyes fixed. they say it cost about 1,000 dollar per eye but i don't like doctors. by they can't fix both types of eye problems. if i do have them fixed i have to chose which type to fix.have you considered having your eyes fixed?

I have definitely considered having surgery to correct my vision, but I don't have the money right now, plus, it's scary!! I am a wimp. ;-)

I´m going to tell you my case (it´s a little bit weird).I have to wear glasses just because I have short sight on my left eye (myopia)..but I can see perfectly with my right eye.For that reason, some people have suggested me wear contact lenses but I don´t like contact glasses...I feel like you can lose them very easy or maybe I´m just very paranoid..lol

You really cannot lose them easily in the eye. They are very safe. I have even slept with them in before (which you're technically not supposed to do) but I have never had any problems, and I've been wearing them over a decade.

I hardly wear anything only when I go out but I prefer glasses, they are just a whole lot less trouble

I'm surprised my eyesight is ok considering I spend a lot of time on the computer. My husbands eyes are deteriorating not only because he's diabetic but because he is on the computer 24/7 - part of his job so when he returns from overseas at the end of this month, I've book him in to see an Opthamologist to check his eyes out. I definitely think he needs glasses.

When i was younger... i so wanted to wear glasses... but now... i am just glad that i don't...

I used to wear glasses for reading and doing clerical work. Than I opted to wear contact lenses to go out with my friends. It helped me to correct vision. A few years ago I did the eye laser operation and i do feel a lot better that I had got rid of the glasses once and for all.

I am near-sighted. So when I watch TV, usually I will wear glasses. But I don't wear glasses in usual. I don't want to wear contact lenses as I am still afraid of it. Why not just wear glasses? It is much more convenient and no risk at all.

Because I have some weakness in my right hand, putting in or taking out contact lenses would be a bit of a problem for me. Therefore I have two sets of glasses, one for reading small print and another for seeing distances when I go out. Sooner later I might switch to bifocals but I understand those take a bit of getting used to.
As far as glasses sliding down my nose, that usually only happens to me on hot days in the summer when I'm outside. Wearing a wide brim hat when out the sun helps keep me from getting quite so hot. The hat can help protect from both sunburn and slipping glasses.

Hi, bethany. I have poor eyesight. I have to wear my glasses every day. Ya, you are right, the pads get greasy easily especially when i sweat. That makes me uncomfortable sometimes. But still i'm wearing it :-)
I don't know how to wear contact lenses. I have had tried when i was a teenage, but i failed. And i found it is easier for me to wear glasses. I have heard of some side effects of wearing contact lenses, as i'm a careless person, i don't think i should risk my health.
Happy mylotting and have a nice day. 1 person likes this

I wear glasses every day - although I DO have contacts. Personally, I have astigmatism, and they prescribed me contacts that definitely irritate my eyes after a few hours of wearing them. :( I love wearing contacts in the summer, though, because that way I can wear sunglasses! XD

Well I need to wear glasses in order for me to see well, I been wearing glasses for 12 years I know it it's annoying to have something in your eyes but what I can do. Laser treatment is very expensive so might as well bare with my glasses to clear my vision.

I have the best vision compared to all the people whom I know.As such I will not have the pain to think about wearing contact lenses or glasses. But I think both have their own advantages & disadvantages equally.
