Lets be optimistic ,with the kind of form India is going through ,it will definitely be the No.1 after the Srilanka ODI series, but how Long do you think it will stay there and what are your reasons for that ?and if not ,, why so ?

india is now in good form. The players like sachin, sewag, yuvraj, dhoni are playing well. each one is having good relationship in their team. our coachers are giving good training to all. if india stays in this form continuously, it will always remain in No 1 position.

ok.....india will become no.1 soon...but when south africa beat australia in the coming series even in 1 or 2 matches they will regain the top spot...they have played less games than us...but sure we will become the number one side by the end of 2009...

dont get me wrong.india is playing really well these days.had been for the last year and half .they have beaten australia but now south africa has beaten them and even the new zealand team was leading the series 2-0 so australia is not so powerfull at this time.now if we have a tour to australia with australia in a great form and indians also in great form, and if we beat them then we can call ourself as champions.srilanka has one of the fragile middle order and ofcourse they used that tactic of keeping wickets in hand and let the run rate go upto 10 and u have to agree that indian bowling attack is not looking that good now.in the test matches,it was excellent but one day matches, not upto the par.cmon we didnt even have the fifth bowler and ohja was playing only his 7 or 8th odi match and the srilankans cant score even 270+ in all those 4 games.

Thats a good positive response friend,,,but also the Srilankan pitches were mostly Batsman friendly ,which explains the Indian bowling performance.Dont you see that though the team lost early wickets ,they bounced back to score a record total .I see that there is good even balance in both batting and bowling ,which was never to be seen before .And the aggression with which Indians are playing along with Dhoni at the moment is a sea change in the Team so far .All this add to the fact that its a good team having all the capabilities of being No.1 contender. Now not that i disagree with you , because we have seen that teams reaching high also faced the downfall, even Dhoni agrees with that ,But all that i want to say is that THIS INDIAN TEAM HAS THE ABILITIES TO BE THE NO. 1 Cheers Thanks for that response

Once India attains the no.1 spot then it will be very difficult for the other teams to dislodge India from that spot.. The Indian team is very young and highly talented.. Except sachin all other players are under 31 years of age.. So we will not be facing any other retirement soon in the One day side.. Also the reserve benchstrength of the Indian side is very good.. So it is only a matter of time before they become most dominant team in world cricket..
