becareful: leaving young children, in the tub by them self and leaving the room.they can turn the hot water on and get badly burned.even worse they can drown from to much water in the tub.how much is to much water in the tub for children.make sure they don,t have to many small toys in the tub they will put them in their mouth and could get choke.kids don,t know the danger of using water they just love it and way that it makes them feel.and please be sure not to put anything electric near the water in the tub.

I do not leave my son in the bathroom buy himself. He does take a bath by himself, but I sit on the toilet and watch him. He loves splashing me!! But I will sit there while he takes a bubble bath and read or get caught up on some hand sewing.

My older son, who is almost 7 I will leave him in the tub and leave the room. However, my youngest son I will not leave in the tub by himself. He is only one and he likes to put his face in the water and try to drink it, I am always scared he will drown himself. Whereas my other son knows to take his face out of the water and if he needs help with something he can call for me.

that is absolutely true and they can also drown, in as little as two inches of water, if the hair get stuck in the drain etc.

baby bath - this pic show a baby inside the tub, she looks funny and she really had fun inside the tub..
no, i'm really careful when my daughter is inside the bath room.. even now, that she's already 4, i see to it that she's in safe and never hurt.. though, she can do the shower alone but i'm still there to look over her and also be careful with shampoos that could harm your babies eyes, and slippery floor.. yes, i dont put any electric devices near the water in the tub.. and i never put any small toys that can be put into her mouth.. as a mother, we better have to be careful in any ways specially, when it becomes to our little children..so mommies be careful, it's should be your responsibility..thanks for the discussion, it can give warning to all of the moms out there.. God Bless

I dont leave them alone, although we have the hot water set so that it cant scald them, it would hurt a bit but not scald if i want to run a bath i turn it back up again much safer.

Oh annjilena..it has always been my worst fear..my girls in the water alone. I always used to sit just with them and when they swim in the pool...although they are both very good swimmers I still haven't left them alone. Accidents happen so fast and when they are excited or playing..they just don't pay close attention. Good discussion!

you are right if you have to leave the room carry them with you never leave a small child a lone in the tub.
