During the IPL pre-season auction conducted on Friday Bangladesh pace bowler mashrafe mortoza was grabbed by knight riders for $600,000 that was 12 times his base price.. While players like collingwood and mohammed ashraful were purchased for much lesser amounts, do you think mortoza's $600,000 deal was fair..?

I personally think that the deal was fair. Mortaza is a very good bowler and he is no in the limelight only because he is from Bangladesh which is a very weak team. However, the price that was paid for him was in a sense unintentional- I heard in some news reports that the high price was a result of severe bidding between Kolkata and some other team. Maybe the bidders got a little carried away....reminds me of Hindi movies and T.V soaps where one of the businessmen in auctions pays a huge price on account of ego clashes with the oher bidder.
