Do you leave your cell phone on and risk someone waking you up or do you turn it off when you are sleeping?

I leave mine on and under the pillow. I have it on vibrate and use it as an alarm. I usually keep it on incase anyone needs me. xx

Gotcha, sounds like a good plan. I leave mine on for work, but I really do not like it when someone wakes me up!

i use my cell as my alarm too mostly because last time the power went out it was easier to reset the alarm on my cell than on my clock

My husband leaves his on while it is charging too. I have heard good and bad that you should turn it off every now and then. I have nextel and they say you should turn it off periodically.

I can understand why you would need it on. Your picture makes me want to be swimming now instead of playing in the pool.

Mine is off unless I am not home. We have a landline phone too so people call me on that phone when I am home. I have left it on during the night and got a strange call, we get people calling for the previous owner of our phones and it drives me nuts so I turn it off. Hubby uses his for an alarm too and he has gotten a strange call in the middle of the night before.

I understand. I had this woman calling my home phone weird hours. Told her she had the wrong number a bunch, but she lept calling and calling. FINALLY, I had to call the local carrier and have her number blocked. I felt much better after I did that!

Of course! I hate cellphones that rings in early morning. And I think that a little of peace sometimes also during the day it's not a bad thing

Yes, I think we all need a little bit of peace here and there in the busy world that we live in today. I agree it is good to turn it off. I can see if it is your only phone though that some might not be comfortable with that.

So can you hear it downstairs? Do you run down and check it if you hear it ringing? That might bother me more. Not sure.

No never, but it's with a reason. My normal phone is now a VOIP phone, and when there is a disturbance with the internet I have no internet a know phone aswell. That's why my mobile phone always is on.

I really turn it off: everyone knows I need a good night sleep. If it's urgent, they can call our homenumber and otherwise they'll have to wait till the next morning!

I always have my phone on because if someone needs me then I want them to know that they can reach me. I used to not keep it on but I would always miss important calls.
