I just saw it today....FINALLY and I think it's definitely worthy. It won the BAFTA best picture award tonight (along with six other awards) and it has been cleaning up other awards all over the place. What I can't figure out is how they determine "Best Actor" from "Best Supporting Actor." The movie is called Slumdog Millionaire, which implies that the "slumdog" who becomes the millionaire would be the main character, i.e. lead role. But Dev Patel has been nominated several times for both awards (the American Academy Awards is not, however, one of those several times, which I think is a terrible slight), including "Best Actor in a Leading Role" from the British Academy. *shrug*

I've never seen Slumdog Millionaire. But then again, I've not seen any of the movies that are currently up for an Academy Award. From what I've read, Slumdog Millionaire is the odds on favorite to win Best Picture at the Oscars. I'm sure it is a great movie.
