hello everybody here at Mylot.... i had planned on waking up this morning and getting ready and going to visit with my parents today. that didn't happen. my ten year old son woke up this morning sick with a sore throat and a runny nose. i cannot take him around my Dad like that with him being sick today. maybe later on in the day or tomorrow sometime, i can go over to visit with my Dad by myself or take my eight year old son with me, he hasn't seen my Dad since that he has been home from the hospital. so tell me, how often does your plans for the day get changed? take care and have a beautiful day today!

I do hope your son gets well soon so that life will be back to normal for him...and you too. As for plans changing, well most of the time I have been able to carry out what I plan in more major things, but in everyday things and decisions, I do make adjustments often enough to suit circumstances. I think every week, there are such little changes made. One of my more major decision changes relate to my travels. About sixteen months ago, I planned to make a trip to Melbourne to see my brother and my nephew who were both there. I told them this and they were expecting my wife and I to visit. Then my wife had a health issue that might have required an operation, so we ended up postponing the trip. In the end, the op wasn't required and eleventh hour, we ended up going on a short trip elsewhere instead. Late last year, we again wanted to fly to Melbourne, but my brother started a new franchise business in October, and so we thought it wasn't a good time to go visit him and impinge on his time, and so shelved our travel plans. Now it is 2009, and again we are thinking of making that trip to Melbourne, possibly in November. This time I am keeping my fingers crossed that the trip will materialize and we don't have to change plans again.

I hope your son is feeling better soon. That sounds typical of my days! I've given up making plans and now just take each day as it comes! Something always comes up to ruin any plans I make!

Hi TnWoman, i do hope your little son will be ok soon, and hope your dad is recovering well. The last time I had to stay home was when I was going to group meeting at a friends' house and the weather got so bad that they cancelled the meeting. Love and hugs. Tamara xxxx

Awww am sorry your older son is sick. Probably a good idea not to take him around your dad for awhile. My plans rarely change for the day since our kids are grown and I am not working right now. I just hang out at home unless I'm needed to babysit. That does happen a couple of times a week or more depending on the weather and if our daughter feels comfortable taking her baby out. It's been real cold here except for the past couple of days so I've gone to stay with our little granddaughter whenever our daughter gets cabin fever. I remember those days!

Sorry to hear your other son is now not feeling well and cannot got with to see your dad. Hopefully you will be able to go and see him later on today still. I hope your dad is still doing ok. I personally hate it when my plans have to change for one reason or another. So far today my plans have not been changed. I have some things I have to run out and get, make a few small toffee orders, and get those mailed. Then if nothing else happens I will get the grocery shopping done later today. If I can't do all of it today I still want to get some of it done.

i agree with you, most of the time, we don't have the days as we have planned it before we go to bed, everything changes, even our plan, everyday i have a things to do list before go to bed to have an organize daily habit, but most of the time, this would changed, depending on my mood upon waking up, but I would try to make it the following days or weeks if things went wrong, just to make sure I'm done with my checklists though it's some sort of delays, anyway, to be able meet my checklists, i would have write the word done on my checklist,at least a sigh of relief that i'm done with other things in priority order.

unfortunately very often...you just have to go with the flow...that's life.I try to be organized but i guess someone's against me...just let yourself go...although it really pisses me off when things don't go my way

Well sounds like you have your hands full. Hope your son feels better soon. I would have to say that my plans change alot. Not due to kids because I dont have any but I do run a business and it is a real estate business and with buyers and sellers showing up and calling for appointments...I can have something planned and then all of a sudden I can't do it. It is difficult at times. I think any time your schedule changes unexpectedly it is a hassle. It tends to snowball cuz then other things you had planned can change as well. I do hope you get to go visit your dad soon.
