do you faithfully... do your homework? Being in uni, i seldom get homeworks. So when i do, i tend to forget about them or tend to procrastinate till the late minute. As a matter of fact, i'm one of those who simply sit in class and wait for the answers to be given. ONE i highly don't recommend. And ONE that i'm doing my best to change. *I'm doing my homework now* BUt ever since i stepped into tertiary education, my lecturers are not as strict with me doing homework. What about you?

Homeworks are given in our campus almost once ever term, so I don't see any use doing them. They aren't even added up to our grades, in the first place. So I'd rather study up on other lessons than just do something that's not going to be taken as credit anyway.

exactly. but it's for our own revision purposes. And there is participation point 10% when the lecturer goes through the questions...

I have always done my homework (except the odd time when I honestly forget about it, but that only happened a couple of times), especially this year when we're covering a lot of material and its very beneficial to do some work at home to keep in pace with the schedule. Sometimes I procrastinate until the last minute (when I get carried away with other things) but I usually try to get it done when I'm in the "right state of mind" to do so, and there's no pattern really to when this moment comes so I couldn't tell you when I do it accurately in general. I've noticed that when I do my homework when I'm not feeling like it at all and just forcing myself, I do a lot worse because I subconsciously put less effort because I feel a lot less interest towards the subject. I'm one of those people that thinks that homework is assigned for the students' own advantage. Homework - here at least - is worth about 5-10% of your grade, so I feel that it is a benefit towards your mark in the class as well as your learning habit. I think that by doing homework everyday, even if only a little, you still revise what was done in class and gain the correct study habits when a test or exam comes around. Overall, I basically find homework a very beneficial part of studies and I try my best to get it completed to gain these advantages.

Foremost, I'd say that I have graduated from college schooling more than a decade ago. But when I was still a student, I had my share of tons of assignments from my teachers in various subjects. Modesty aside, I try to do every homework given as much as I could. As a result, I never had to worry about my grades until I graduated and got employed. I guess with that span of time, a lot of things have changed including the learning process and students' attitudes toward education. Although I personally believe that homeworks could help in reinforcing one's knowledge of the subject, this doesn't mean that assignments should be given religiously. The fact that these are brought home; it should give a red signal that these may be assigned by the students to their parents or siblings who know much of the matter. For instance, it isn't a remote possibility that parents of a 6 year old student are the ones accomplishing or doing the homework of their child. In fact, my youngest sibling who is presently a third year college student heavily relies on me regarding her Accounting subjects. It isn't her major but I still feel that she should take her studies seriously.

I cant say faithfully.. But I do as much as possible.. It's for my own benefit anyway.. I learn from it.. It doesnt matter much to me if it is graded or not.. But there are still times that I am unable to do homeworks for some reasons..

i know. But those were the times when we were FORCED to do our homework. But now in uni. It's not graded and it's just a class discussion. There isn't much motivation there.
