It has been months since I have seen my grandfather. We talk weekly. But the weather has been frigid here. It has finally warmed up. It's 64 degrees here. So I thought perfect! I called him up said we were ready for a visit. He has yet to meet his great grandson. He told me just to send my hubby to pick up some things.
This leads me to think that he may be sick, and doesn't want me to see. He complained his house is a mess. I said oh please, I have 2 kids a dog and a hubby. MY house is a mess. Would you go anyway? I will just send my hubby. He will let me know how things are.

You did right in sending your hubby first because it could be something that could be embarrassing for your grandfather at this time. I would send hubby for a lookout and see how things are if everything is okay I would go and visit. If he had other family close as well I would also get their help in maybe cleaning his house get hubby to get him out for something to do..and clean. Maybe be a early Valentine gift..lol

Yes, I would go anyways. hard telling why he is saying that. If you never had an arguement. He could be saying that thinking it would be to much for you with teh kids. He also can be sick like you say. Would you want to take that chance?
