How do I buy from some websites when they only accept USA issued credit cards?

I have attempted to buy from some online USA stores and frequently after I have paid with my non-USA issued credit card they will email me to tell me that they could not process my payment due to the credit card. I was told by the local bank that there was nothing they could do regarding that matter. There is already the Plus and Cirrus logo on the card to symbolise that they should be able to take the international usage. Is there anyway to get around this problem? Do you have the same problem too? I have not been to USA physically on shopping trips. Am I going to get the same problem if I walk into the shops there and use my credit card? Any advice?

You might want to try and purchase a US pre paid debit card . Other than that I don't know what you could do . You might want to call the company and see if they can do the transactin over the phone instead of internet . It might be that they can't verify the information being it is an international transaction. Cheryl

I have never heard of this problem before, all i know about payment online is that they give conditions as in the type of the card, examples as visa, master .......... but apart from this fact, i have never heard of this kind of problem. Try and open an account with STP and ask for a debit card afterwards.
