Who else remembers Blyton's characters from their chilhood? Some of my best were Mr Pinkwhistle, The Wishing Chair, The Magic Faraway Tree etc. I wish they would make a movie of the Faraway Tree. I have such visions of what it would be like - so magical. I have all these books to pass onto my daughter.

The Mr Pinkwhistle and the Famous Five series were my favourite.

Ah enid blyton, sure did bring the childhood day come alive. I dont really know the title of blyton books in english, since i read in my language that day. There are several that i worshipped, you know Fatty? What's the name of the book in english? And i love everything related to living in dorm school (i may mention it wrong). Ah many more i cant remember. If only i still posses the book now. I lost all of them. Some I remember, borrowed by friends, and it never came back. It really rare to see blyton books these day in my local book store. too bad.

I think my home, I just loved being home, I felt safe and we kids had a greeat time, no computers or anything but always playing in the yard or out in the street with the neighbourhood kids, I loved the security of those days...

My childhood was really made interesting and magical with Enid Blyton's books. I had enjoyed reading about the elves and fairies, and the adventures of the Secret Seven and the naughty schoolgirls.
