How long would you wait to be seated at a restaurant on Valentine's Day?

I'm not sure about anywhere else, but in the United States, every good restaurant, and often even the crummier ones, are packed full on Valentine's Day, some of the point to where the patrons are extending the line out the door and around the building! There can be anywhere from an hour wait time to even up to three hours! So, realistically how long would you be willing to wait for a good restaurant on Valentine's Day? Would you call weeks in advance and make reservations while you could? Would you celebrate on a different day so as to miss the rush? Personally, I prefer to avoid the rush and celebrate on a different day. After all, who cares on what day you do it. All that matters is that you love your significant other, whoever he or she may be, and that you show each other. Valentine's Day does indeed have meaning, but one can observe it whenever they wish. I'd just stay home with a bottle of Bailey's or something like that and go out to eat on another day. No way I'm going to those madhouses! What about all of you? Do you celebrate Valentine's Day where you live? What do you generally do, and, as is the title of this discussion, how long would you be willing to wait to be seated at a restaurant on Valentine's Day?

That's the key word: LOVE Who cares what others think if you celebrate it on a different day! Just sit back watch a good movie and enjoy each others' company...

I agree, but that doesn't exactly answer my question. Oh well.

I never go out to eat on Valentine's day, but I used to wait in line for Buffet in Las Vegas. It was like Over 3 hours or something like that, god! It was so long to wait but no where to go cuz everywhere was pack up with people. It was on Christmas Day tho. I hate to wait in line but no food to eat and no place that available for us either, so we had to wait and wait to get food.

Yeah, lol those madhouses are insane when they are that packed! That's why I never go out. Usually on Christmas I just do something with my mom, or with my fiance's family.
