changing torn money

can someone help me if i can still change my money. I am holding turkish money and it cost so big. But the problem, it was torn in half and i put tape just to make it one again. can i still change it in Dollar money? please help me with this. Thanks in regards

i think it will be difficult for you to change it to a dollar, knowing that its is torn..but..i suggest that you go to a bank..sometimes torned money can be changed on a case to case basis..

Not sure about Turkish law, or how the money is designed, but if a serial number or letter is present on both halves it proves that they where torn from each other. In the US i believe that is exchangeable, if 75 percent of the bill is present, and the numbers match on each half. But I would check into being able cash it considering it is not US currency. hope that helps cbiznetz

you can try it with your personal savings bank,those bank officials will surely give you change for money if the numbers are intact.i am confident they will surely give you good advice.
