Skimming and Scanning

Reading is of two types. A child reading the textbook for examination is a type and the elder people reading books for their timepass and delight is another method of reading. The First type is called Scanning and the other is skimming.

Skimming and scanning are actually study techniques, not reading techniques. There is a great deal more to reading then just these two things. I would suggest that you do a bit more research before putting up things such as this. This is grossly over simplified, and inaccurate. I can recommend some great teaching books on reading if you like.
